# Start settings

In the process builder, click the **Open Process Settings** menu item in the **Actions** menu to open the **Edit Process Settings** window.

Select the **Start Settings** tab:

On the **Start Settings** tab, the user can specify:

* Method to start the process (see [proper article](/processes/working-with-processes/start-and-plan-the-process.md) about them)
* If [duplicates between versions](/processes/working-with-processes/process-versions.md#duplicates-between-versions) are allowed

Click **Save** to apply changes or **Cancel** to discard them.
