# Hierarchical processes

Characteristics:

1. There is a set of master-detail data sources, and different processes need to be run for each data source.
2. The number of hierarchy levels, and the number of process executions (instances) at each level is unknown at the start of the process, and can change at any time.

*Example*: Job Requisitions, Insurance Policies, Clinical Trials
