# Dynamic processes

Characteristics:

1. Processes have a start, but the activities and tasks are not necessarily consistent, and the end state is not predictable.
2. The sequence of process execution is determined by the user or the system based on prevailing conditions.
3. An end-to-end process includes disparate processes (both sub-processes and independent processes) that need to be linked together to give users a composite view and Gantt chart.

*Example*: Emergency Room

In this example, the doctor selects which tests should be done based on the available options presented as a result of examination data entered.
