# Process working and configuration tips

**Swimlane assignments / responsibility override**

* When there are 10 steps on a swimlane, it makes sense to use Responsibility Override for 1 or 2 that have peculiar assignee VS using it for 9 out of 10 while only using the Swimlane assignment for 1 or 2.

**Process versions**

* Differentiate process versions using naming (v2, v3 etc).

**System steps**

* Where possible, set Processing Frequency to larger interval (default is each 10 minutes).

**The process start conditions**

* Use "Formula" type of conditions as much as possible.

**The step rule/action "Before" option**

* Do not use "Before" option if there is a way to run it "After".

**Emails which send to groups, roles, and profiles**

* The limit users which Work-Relay will load from the Group/Role/Profile will be 20. If you would like to send to all users use Define Variable to load all users from the Group/Role/Profile and then use this variable in "To" field of email.
